It is one of my favorite gelato stores in the Bay Area. However, I have never heard of it until my friend gives me the recommendation. I still remember when I stand in front of their windows. I don't believe this store would provide the best gelato. For me, it looks like a random place that sits in the middle of nowhere and I have no motivation to give it a try. But after I tried their ice cream, I think it is the best gelato I've had these years. Moreover, I've heard that their store has been here for over 30 years, which is incredible.
Therefore, I listed the main problems that I discovered from the current store.
I was inspired a lot by two of these competitors when I did research. One is called "TAITAKI." It's an Asian ice cream shop located in NYC. Since it’s also an Asian-inspired ice cream store, their culture is a part that I can learn from on this project. Their creation is insanely pretty. The vivid color is excited and attracts young people, which is also my target audience.
Chobani it’s a yogurt cafe, but Chobani enlightens me a lot about branding and packages four years ago when I step into their store. It has become a memorable experience. And it also let me realized that how branding can give the product’s growth a significant effect. Their human-centered culture has shown up on no matter branding or their actual product. But I’ll focus on their physical cafe more because that’s where the inspiration comes.
